Kill Your Art For Science...

Cocaine[Dussey In The Studio]
In the pregnable North Carolina air the thick malaise of young discontent rises from a bungalow with all of the back alley allure of a meth-lab. Several unremarkable-looking young men are hard at work putting the finishing touches on a recording full of backwards-masked noise and low-fidelity organ loops. One of them plays a midi sequence over the loop while another sings in a drunken sounding slur angrily trying to find the harmonic resonance frequency of the microphone and destroy it. Huncle Dussey + The Buzz Saws are recording. The group's founder and chief songwriter Kevin Slamon sits back in the corner and nods in approval.

Huncle Dussey regards their time in the studio as an oasis in the otherwise mundane day-to-day life of central North Carolina. This is their chance to develop themselves, indeed, as most of their material is written in the studio. They do all of their own recording and producing with the group's other main creative element Ory Petty taking the helm (Petty and Slamon own the production company "Delamater Audio Labs"). The group's revolving cast of members plays all forms of instrument including accordion and theremin and anything may make its way into a song.

Huncle Dussey + The Buzz Saws are a true creative force in their element and the power of this group in front of a live audience with their theatrical presence keeps you wondering what it is that you're enjoying.
